This unique silver coin was introduced by the Australian Perth Mint as a new coin in 2018, making the 2023 coin the seventh in the series. The 1 ounce (31.1 g) coin made of the purest 99.99% silver sold out quickly in 2018. All subsequent vintages have followed a similar scenario.
The coin depicts an emu standing on a grassy sand dune with waves crashing in the background. The design also includes the inscription "AUSTRALIAN EMU", the mint mark "P125" marking the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint and the weight, purity and year of the coin.
The obverse of the coin depicts the likeness of Dan Thorne His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.
Limited mintage of only 30,000 coins.
The coin is stored in a protective plastic capsule.
