This unique silver coin was introduced by the Australian Perth Mint as a new coin in 2018, making the 2023 coin the sixth in the series. The 1 ounce (31.1 g) coin made of the purest 99.99% silver sold out quickly in 2018. All subsequent vintages have followed a similar scenario.

Limited mintage of only 30,000 coins.

This silver investment coin features an adult emu on its reverse,
with three cubs. An arid and barren Australian landscape can be seen in the background. The edge of the coin is bordered by the inscription "AUSTRALIAN EMU" and the Perth Mint's issue, weight, fineness and initial "P".

The obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. (by Jody Clark and "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA", and face value).

The coin is stored in a protective plastic capsule.
